Selection of the right projection screen

The projection screen is an indispensable part of your presentation or home entertainment set-up. Because, however good the projector itself may be, the image still needs to be projected onto a surface that allows multiple viewers to see the graphics and read the text.

Choosing the correct projection screen is of great importance. The purpose of the projection screen is twofold: to display the visual information without loss of image quality and to direct the projected light towards the audience. Both requirements must be satisfied in order to ensure optimum perception of the projected image. Each situation is unique and the choice of the right projection screen is influenced by factors such as ambient light levels, projector light output, the position of the projector and the spatial aspects of the presentation room itself.
